Question & Answers:

¤ How do I register?

If you have a current Arkansas teaching license for any areas K-12, register at this link.  You will provide some information, and we will be in touch.

¤ What if the class is full?

We only want to offer to 100 teachers at a time, but if we get a big response, we may consider doing additional sessions.

¤ When will the course start, and how will I take it?

The course will begin mid-July 2020 and must be completed by October 1, 2020.  The course is asynchronous and can be completed at the participant's pace at any time between the start and end date. The course could be completed as quickly as one week if you worked on it for a normal business day, or you could spread that out over the course of 10 weeks working a little at a time.

¤ Why is it free?

Virtual Arkansas wants to help Arkansas teachers build capacity for online instruction, and we want to make connections and bring together all the diverse talent Arkansas teachers have to offer for the benefit of Arkansas K-12 students.

¤ What will I get from this?

This course takes a deep dive into a tried and true model for online course design. It explores key components of online course design best practice, and it provides a hands-on opportunity to produce a learning module.  By completing the course, you will receive a certificate from Virtual Arkansas for 15-30 hours of professional development depending on your chosen learning path(s) and will be considered a certified designer and/or developer by Virtual Arkansas. You will also have the opportunity to add your name to a list of other certified designers and developers for potential paid content development opportunities.
