Welcome to the Virtual Arkansas Tech Department page. Use the information below to ensure students have appropriate hardware and software requirements for VA courses.


Hardware Requirements

Equipment Requirements

Individual students must have access to the following items:

  • An internet-connected computer
  • Unique Affiliated School Email Address that can receive messages from VA resources
  • Headset with a built-in microphone
  • Webcam (either built-in or external)

* Refers to the preferred browser to be used by anyone utilizing VA resources.

Students are required to have the following software:

  • PDF Reader (Adobe Acrobat Reader, Chrome PDF Viewer, etc.)
  • Media Player (Quicktime, Windows Media Player, or VLC)
  • BlueJ (CS Programming Software)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Access)
