Intro to Biological Sciences provides an introduction to the major concepts of biological science, with an emphasis on the development of this scientific perspective and how it applies to humans. Topics included are cellular structure, intermediary metabolism and differentiation, population genetics, ecology, and evolution. This course fulfills the general education requirement of a science class with a lab. This course meets the general education goal regarding the application of scientific reasoning. The activities and assignments in the lecture and lab will regularly utilize the application of the scientific method, data analysis, and scientific reasoning, critical thinking skills.
