The Plant Science course encompasses the study of plant life cycles, classifications, functions, structures, reproduction, media, and nutrients, as well as growth and cultural practices through the study of crops, turfgrass, trees, shrubs, and/or ornamental plants. Students completing this course of study will demonstrate competence in the application of principles and techniques for the planning, development, application, and management of plant science systems in Agriculture, Food & Natural Resource settings, as well as and opportunities to participate in FFA and Supervised Agricultural Experiences.
