PRINCIPLES OF SPORTS MEDICINE

The Principles of Sports Medicine class is designed for students interested in fields such as athletic training, physical therapy, medicine, fitness, exercise physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, and other sports medicine-related fields. This class includes both theory-based and practicum instruction that exposes students to various sports medicine careers. Through these connections, students will understand the importance of medical terminology and how it relates to exercise, nutrition, treatment modalities, and preventative/rehabilitative care. Prerequisite: Foundations of Health Care
