Visual Art for grades 5 and 6 is a nine-week, hands-on course designed to introduce students to the basics of creating art through the understanding and application of essential vocabulary, tools, and techniques. Additionally, students will explore the purpose and importance of art in the context of history, community, and meaning-making.
